The Great Farmer
Once
upon a time, there was a little boy named Jack. He was 10 years old who was a
diligent boy and obeyed to each regulation. One day, summer holiday came, he
wanted to visit his grandfather in village named Mineral Town. He went there by
a ship and stopped in a small harbour. His grandfather named Marcos picked him
up and brought Jack to the house. Jack was very delighted because he could play
in village. Marcos was a great farmer. He had a big farm and a number of
animals in his barn. Because of that, he could not accompany Jack to play and
asked him to do it by himself. So, Jack decided to go around the village. He
started to know each place in the village, but he still did not have a friend
there. It made him very sad.
After
several days, he decided to go to a hill in that village. Suprisingly, he found
a girl that also played alone there. Her name was Elli. Jack came to him and
introduced himself. They shared experience each other and became friends. Elli
was a nurse’s daughter in that village. Every day Jack and Elli spent their
times to play in that hill. When They were playing, suddenly Jack said, ”Elli, I
want to marry you someday”. Elly was surprised to hear it, but she looked happy
and did not apply Jack’s statement.
After
spent a month for holiday, Jack had to return to his city.
Marcos
said,” Are you happy to stay here? Don’t forget to tell to your parents that
I’m also happy for your visiting to my house”.
Then
Jack said, ”Yes, Grandpa. I will say it to them”. Then, when Jack went to the harbour,
he met with Elli.
Then
Jack said,” Hi Elli, I have to return now, thanks for playing with me along my
holiday.” Elli said, ”So, you decide to return today? It will make me
sad,please be careful, and DON’T FORGET ABOUT YOUR PROMISE”.
After
returned to his house, Jack started his activities like usual. He also told
Marcos’s order to his parents.10 years later, Jack has graduated from his
study, but the bad news came. His grandfather, Marcos passed away because age’s
factor. Then he decided to see Marcos in Mineral Town. Jack was very sad.
Suddenly, the mayor of Mineral Town named Thomas came to Jack.
He
said to him,” Are you Marcos’s grandson? I have a favor to you”.
Then
Jack said,” What is that, Sir?”.
“You
know, Marcos was a great farmer. He had produced many things for our village.
His farm was very helpful and We appreciated it.” Thomas said.
“So,
what do you want, Sir?” Jack answered.
“ Now, you see this farm is really messy, All
residents and I want you to return this farm back to normal, like your
grandfather done. If you are able to do it, you can live there and we receive
you as a resident here, but if you fail, you have to go and leave this village,
do you agree?” Thomas said.
“O.K,
I agree, I will show to all residents that I can became a great farmer like My
Grandfather”. Jack said.
At the same day, Jack entered his
grandfather’s house and determined to return Marcos’s farm. He found in that
house some tools for farming. They were axe, watering can, hoe, hammer, and
sickle. Then, he went to the farm and started to work. That farm was very
messy. Many thrashes, big rock and wild plants stucked there.
At
first, he tried to destroy the big rock, but his hammer was too weak. Then he
tried to cut the wild plants, but the same thing also happened. His sickle was
too old and did not able to cut anything. Jack started to feel desperate and
decided to take a rest for a while. He went around Mineral town and did
socialize with people there. He asked to some people for tools shop, but no one
knew about it. He felt sad and decided to return to Marcos’s house. On his way
back home, he met with Thomas.
Then
Jack asked to him about the tools shop, Thomas said, ”In this village, there
isn’t any tools shop, but you can upgrade your tools with someone. His name is
Saibara. He is an old man that very skillful in upgrading tools. He is a great
blacksmith. You can meet him near a bridge beside your farm”.
After
listened it, Jack went straight to Saibara’s place. He want to uprade all tools
that he has. Finally, he met with Saibara.
Saibara
said,” If you want me to upgrade your items, Please came with an rare crystal
from a cave near that bridge”.
Then
Jack prepared all equipments for searching the crystal. He arrived at that
cave. At first he scared with the condition of that cave, but he remember
of his grandfather and entered that
cave. He started to dig land up. He found many things like gold and many more,
but he could not find the crystal. Then he entered that cave deeper and the
situation became darker. After 10 dug, finally he found that crystal and
brought it to Saibara’s house. Saibara surprised because Jack could find it
fastly. Next, he mixed the iron and the crystal to upgrade the tools.
Surprisingly, all items became crystal shape and looked strong. Jack thanks to
Saibaraa and gave some gold to him.
After his tool upraged, Jack came out
from Saibara’s house. Suddenly, he met with a beautiful girl. At fact, she is
Elli! Jack came to her and said that he wanted to marry her now.
But
Elli said, ”I’m delighted to hear that, but before we married, you have to
return your grandfather’s farm back to normal”.
Then
Jack said, ”Yeah, I know that, and is there any problem, Elli?”
“Yeah,
in this village, if you want to marry someone, you must have a BLUE FEATHER for
a present to your partner. You can find it from a chinese seller, but I don’t
know where he is now.
Then,
Jack said,” OK, just wait for me, I will find that person”. After they talked each
other. Jack returned to his house and
slept.
In
the morning he wanted to try his tools. Suprisingly, the tools became strong
and were able to destroy anything. Jack started to broke big rock, with one
smash, he was able destroy it. He also did the same thing with garbages and
wild plants. Everyday he destroyed anything that made his farm messy. He never
gave up and did his best touch for making his farm better. After a month, now
his farm was very clean and clear. No garbages, no rocks, it looked like a big
land. After his farm had cleaned. Jack also planted some vegetables and fruits
and distributed them to the people in mineral town. One day, when he was
working, a strange person came to him and asked permission to take a rest under
a tree in Jack’s farm. Jack was surprised since that person was a chinese
seller. His name was Won Lee. Jack asked to him about the blue feather. Then, Lee said to him he only had 1 blue
feather now, but because he had got permission to take a rest in his farm. Lee
gave it to Jack as a present. Now he could marry Elli.
Finally, Jack accepted as a new
resident in Mineral Town. The mayor and all resident there said congratulate to
Jack because he was able to return Marco’s farm better than before. He was also
able to produce many vegetables and fruits with high quality that were very
useful for people in that village. The happiest part, after gave a blue feather
as a present, he could marry Elli, the
girl who accompanied him when he was a child. After 1 year, they got a baby and
live together happily. Jack was able to became a great farmer and good father.
